26W is located 343 km east-northeast of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and has moved west-northwestward at 13 km/h (7 knots) over the past 6 hours.  26W is expected to make landfall in 6 hours as it continues its track along the subtropical ridge to the north. After making landfall, the system will rapidly erode due to terrain interaction and is expected to fully dissipate over northeast Cambodia in 24 hours.  Track model consensus is in good agreement through the duration of the forecast period, lending high confidence to the track forecast. Intensity guidance is in good agreement, with HWRF indicating stronger intensity over 35 km/h (20 knots) well after landfall. Overall, there is high confidence in the JTWC forecast intensity.  Maximum significant wave height is 3.7 meters (12 feet).
