The focus of Seth Gamble's most recent cinematic core project, Goddess, is the 2021 AVN Best New Starlet Scarlit Scandal. He is the current AVN Male Performer of the Year. On Wicked.com today, "Menhet Goddess of War," a Scandal scene, made its online debut.
In this episode with an Egyptian theme, the title figure is based, at least in part, on a real person. Menhet, a foreign-born woman, was wed by Pharaoh Thutmose III of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Ancient Egypt. Given that her name means "the one who sacrifices" and "the slaughterer," respectively, she was mythologized as a god who led the pharaoh's army into battle and murdered their adversaries with fire arrows. When she was calmer, she was the wind personified.
But in mythology, deities are portrayed as flawed mortals with self-centered aims, as observed by Gamble, who co-stars with Scandal in the scene, "The word 'goddess' makes us think of beings with perfection, and that's what people chase after in life." Contrary to popular assumption, humans are the creatures that most closely resemble gods, according to the story. Despite how they may appear, they are neither perfect nor beautiful. They age, become greed-driven, feel unhappy, and even exhibit depression symptoms. And if gods are capable of error, then so can humans. Nobody is perfect. Pursuing perfection is just an impossible goal. With Goddess, I had the chance to express these feelings physically.
When it came time to cast, the actor/director claims he was convinced he wanted Scandal to portray Menhet. It's no secret why she was named AVN's Best New Starlet, but "she was the only one I considered." She is ethereally beautiful, making her a logical choice for a play with such a mysterious theme, and she is a passionate and dramatic actor. She is really motivated and dedicated. We had a fantastic chemistry and vibe together. Scarlit represented the complex emotions associated with Menhet's mythology, which extends beyond violence and bloodshed.
"Being in Goddess definitely made me feel like a goddess," Scandal revealed. "Everything was just perfect, from the fantastic staff members to the costume and makeup, and being able to be outside in nature was my absolute favorite part about it." It was breathtaking, and I felt like a warrior queen! I'm thrilled to have had the opportunity to collaborate on this project alongside other strong, beautiful, and bright women.
Kenzie Taylor, Nicole Doshi, Ivy Wolfe, and Kenna James have all been in previous episodes of Goddess.
