This article is for all SW who have issue with the social media platform "X" (formerly Twitter) when it is about engagements and impression numbers, search bans, suggestion bans, and other, and I hope that this article will help to solve some of the problems.
I think it should be known by now that it will become increasingly difficult for sex workers to find a social media platform where we can share their content but fortunately we are still allowed to do that on X, but the circumstances have changed in the last few days and weeks, and I would like to share some tips with you on how you can ensure that you are not hidden under certain conditions and that people can still find your account, be it in the search, or in the direct address of a post.
I would first like to show you, using an example, what it means that you cannot be found on X at all.
This example is very current and since she wrote to me directly and asked for help, I will simply demonstrate it using her account.
Example: Tanya Tate (@TanyaTate)
Their tweets or posts will not be displayed on the public timeline at all, either under the timeline that should be adjusted directly for you or under the timeline of the people you follow. Unfortunately it is also not possible to search for your account.
So if you try to search for her posts directly, you won't find any results.
However, if you only search for the name Tanya Tate then you will definitely find her but that doesn't solve the problem that her actual messages don't appear on the timeline or under the search but there is a solution for that.
There are several suggested solutions for this and I will show them today and hope that they will help you and solution suggestion number one is: how do you actually search on this platform and how do you use the search and the solution is in the following article: How to use X search.
And based on this example, it is very important to pay attention to the 9th point because it says that you can get further access to all possible features that this platform offers under the so-called developer options: https://developer.twitter.com/en.
TIP: Apply for access to the developer options.
Another way to fix this problem is to simply read through the rules of X and you can do that here: https://help.twitter.com/en/rules-and-policies/x-rules
It is important to note that the following section is extremely important: Sensitive media: You may not post media that is excessively gory or share violent or adult content within live video or in profile or header images. Media depicting sexual violence and/or assault is also not permitted. Learn more.
if we continue reading there we will come across the following information and it is very important now that you understand this and that you read this because this is essential for you to appear in the search results:
So we have the answer to the question why, for example, it appears in the search results because my content has an educational background. This is partly due to the way my entire imprint is written on my website and I meet the developer option requirements, which means my timeline is also part of it on my website, which in turn means that I automatically appear in the so-called SEO results, which according to the policy of this platform guarantees that you also appear in the search results and this must be submitted in writing to X directly. How did I do this? It's very simple, I've gone through both the verification process for participating in developer options and the verification process that I'm allowed to participate in advertising and it's officially registered with me on my account and I'll show it later.
TIP: It is also advisable to check your platform settings and unfortunately this also means that you have to override the manageability of the platform itself.
What does that mean? My account is registered as an official NSFW account and if you log out and then search for my name you will find that you see the following. Unfortunately, this setting cannot be reversed, but on the other hand, I don't want that either because it gives me the guarantee that my account has a certain level of security and that adult content is also accepted. You can do that in two different ways:
TIP: Adjust your account and information and do not hide that you are an SW.
Firstly, you either mention this in your bio or secondly, you have to go through the verification process again, which also means that you either change your handle name or your profile picture and you have to specify in the settings beforehand that premium content, and that is only possible for premium users, and sensitive content can be displayed - this is one of the main prerequisites for solving this search problem.

Option has to be disabled automatically and access shall we denied |
All of this was tested by myself and can also be read again under the so-called FAQs in the Non-consensual nudity policy of this platform and I would simply quote the following:
"What is not a violation of this policy?
Pornography and other forms of consensually produced adult content are allowed on X, provided that this media is marked as sensitive. Doing so provides people who may not want to see this type of content with a warning that they will need to acknowledge before viewing your media. To mark your media as sensitive, navigate to your security settings and select the Mark media you post as containing material that may be sensitive option. If you don't mark your media as sensitive, we may do so manually if your content is reported for review." Further actions that may follow are a search and suggestion bad.
Tanya's account according to some web scrapers source shall not be suggestion banned, but for some reason it is. It would be worth to reach out to an assistant directly here.
You can get any kind of help for your account here.
However ones logged out your account should look like this:
TIP: Apply for verification via the ID process.
I know that many people don't like this because it also collects personal data (for at least 30 days, I tried to find information if they do store your personal longer than that but I did not find the answer for that yet), but this is definitely one of the safest ways.
The strange thing about Tanya's account is that she definitely didn't show up in the search, but according to Metric she should be found, and I don't know what that could be at the moment, because if we look at the following metrics article, both, the suggestion ban and the search ban are connected, and that would make sense as to why she doesn't appear in the search.
"Search Suggestion Ban
This type of ban causes an account to not populate search suggestions and people search results when it is searched for while being logged out. Twitter seems to take tie strength or a similar metric into account. While an account may be suggested to users you are strongly tied to, it may not be shown to others."
At this point I would like to briefly remind you that Tanya can be found as such an account via the search, but the point is that we want to solve the problem of why her posts, their own tweets or posts cannot be found using the parameter "from" which causes the also getting hidden on the for you tab, like many others do from us experience the same, and that is also the reason why our engagement and impression numbers are currently declining.
Final TIP: sign up for twitter business and become a business account (I did, checked, and it is working.)
NOTE: this may be restricted in some regions in this world, please do not use a VPN, you need to add payment details including ad information first before becoming a business member.
Summary:
How to solve the metrics problem on "X" (formerly Twitter). Please note that these are suggested solutions and that some worked for me, but they are no guarantee that it will work for you. but in my case it worked and everything described was tested and verified four times, because I went through the verification process four times in a row in September and October.
TIP: Apply for access to the developer options.
TIP: It is also advisable to check your platform settings and unfortunately this also means that you have to override the manageability of the platform itself.
