Satellite images show deep convection wrapping into a low-level circulation center (LLCC). Analysis shows favorable conditions for development, with radial outflow aloft, low (10-15 knots) wind shear, and warm (30-31 °C) sea surface temperatures.
Forecast guidance agrees that 98W will move northward as it intensifies over the next 24 to 36 hours. Surface winds are around 35-45 km/h (18-23 knots).
